Was dark and cold when I arrived, and it seemed forever, before first light. Fortunately, I remembered where to expect the sun, in February, and managed a few shots, for my silhouette of the Mittens.It's a really haunting place, where many great Western movies were filmed.

Awesome site! The silouettes add a nice touch to the variant colors & the low light makes it seem mysterious.

Sunrise .... I've wandered the floor of that valley in very hot summer weather, as well. I seem to keep going back to that general area, on most trips. Glad you liked it.
