On one of our earliest trips West, we found this delightful campground, on the banks of Lake Powell, and facing Flaming Gorge. It was a free, State maintained site, and we were the only ones there. Woke in the early A.M., surrounded by antelope, down for their morning drink. By the time I dressed and was outside with a camera, they had all cleared out, and all I managed to get , was this shot, with a 300mm lens.

The color/lighting gives this an aura of eereiness, almost like they are sensing something you cannot see. Beautiful, Doug! Nice work!

Nice shot for that lens and the fact they aren't standing and posing for you. Looks to be fairly early.

Ditto ditto ditto ditto, dearest Doug !!!
I specifically agree with Terri that there is something for a viewer to sense rather than see actually or something that might happen any second ...
Or just happened ...
In any case - great job !!!!
Thanks and wild and swift congratulations !!!

Antelope Flats ... Glad you liked it, and thank you for the nice comments,Jen. It's not sharp enough,as it was a very hurried shot, but I always liked it.

The emotions, the tears, of wasted years, wash over me like a cold wind out of the north. I tremble and shake, with each breath i take, and there's no one around me that cares. Dwight.

Fantastic shot Doug. You do have to be very quick when it comes to wildlife.... I am learning that. Beautiful antelope & I love the colors too. Excellent.

You are a busy girl, tonight, Heidi. Glad I had some pics you enjoyed. I always liked that one of my first Lab, Harvey, and the kitten. The Antelope was a grab shot, but didn't turn out too bad.
