This was taken from just off the highway, running along the West side of Monument Valley. This is all Reservation land,and an area with native residences. Consequently, I shot with a very long, 600mm lens, was too lazy to go back to my truck for a tripod, and paid the price in sharpness. Thought the colours were pretty fair, though.

A great shot Doug. I really love the color tones. The pony is a nice added bonus & looks like he/she was getting ready to turn just as you snapped the pic. Well done.

Outrageous! The colors are so vivid....one really doesn't notice any sharpness deficit! I love this picture!

Doug, the pony really gives this shot perspective. I have never been west, but this would be very interesting place to go to. This mountain has such character and the color makes it more emphatic...gerry...
