This is the litle village of Wesrport, about 12 miles from my home, and the closest town. Population 600, year round, 6000, with summer residents and cottagers. It's also the village in yesterday's bottle, or whatever it was. Both pictures were taken aound the same time, from the same vantage point, but with a slight diferenc in coverage area.

Hi Doug, nice to meet you! I am absolutely breathless while viewing this image! The colors, the clarity, the depth of field, well, just everything that is required to qualify as picture perfect! The image is part and parcel, quality! My guess would be that you have been looking through that lens for a long time! Am I right? I just noticed this photo on the front page and what an eye catcher it was! Very nice, and very skillfully done!! Great talent you have! Sincerely, Marilyn

This is stunning Doug. Gorgeous autumn colors & the blueness of the water makes an excellent contrast. Perfect angle also. I am glad you posted this scene as well as the bottle one.... this is absolutely beautiful. Excellent work.

This is so beautiful - well done and thank you Doug. The colours are dazzling, and it looks a lovely place to be.
There is a Wesport on the West Coast of NZ - also beside a river.

Gee, Doug, guess which one I like better: this beautiful autumnal scene-- sharp as a tack with wonderfully saturated colors, or the weird "bottle" one. No contest. Sorry, I'm just very conventionally minded.

Wow! Vivid colors and very pleasing to eye. This one is great Doug! Has a Norman Rockwell feel to it. The church with its tall steeple really helps to give it that village appeal.
Thanks for sharing.

I was immediately pulled to that steeple as well, it really stands out just off center and so tall. Lovely vantage point and composition.
