By request, here's the original colour shot of Joshua Tree N.P., boulders, minus my truck camper.
They still look pretty big, even without the truck, for comparison.
Hope you enjoy this almost virgin image.
Stunning ... the cobalt blue sky really sets off the large boulders nicely. I love the desolate look to the terrain. A fantastic capture Doug & thanks for sharing this.
Your right the truck did give a better perspective, but I've put them both on screen for comparison and I favor this image over "End Of The Road". Of course my bias towards color over B&W may be slanting my judgement. Both pictures are beauties Doug, but when it comes to capturing unique scenes such as these wondrous boulders ... I think the less signs of the modern day ... the better.
Big ol' rocks Doug, don't want to fall down out there ya might get hurt you be careful. Good shot as always you've got a unique way of presenting and you do a good job of it my friend.
It's a great shot Doug and the lighting and depth are magnificant. On my screen the only issue is at the top right it's a little too dark but it's a great shot. Thanks for posting this. Anita

Doug, what a dynamic, dramatic, and dog gone fantastic image! Colors, composition, contrast, clarity---it has it all going on. A 10 and job well done my friend!
I am still extremely busy with projects but hopefully things should slow down by the end of the summer. Please know that I appreciate you all and will stop by and visit your images as often as I can. My best to all my friends.
Sincerely,
Carrie

This is a terrific landscape photo and the colors are stunning. There may be just a touch too much contrast for me, though. Otherwise I gave it a very high vote.
Wow!! This one just popped up on the front page and I was there to catch this most awesome event. What a beautiful capture my Friend. OUTSTANDING!! I used to live in Joshua Tree....'the city with streets with no names'......what a trip!
