This hay field lies a few miles North of me, in an even more remote area of Eastern Ontario. The silo/tower always reminds me of those from the middle ages, throughout Europe, though many of them were stone construction.

Just a beautiful shot, Doug. The hay bales around here are rectangular, and I like this style much more. Wonderful looking old silo. Spectacular colors as most places are covered in dirty snow right now. We're again a drought; so the green is slowly being replaced by brown. When I first started downloading Caedes postings years before I started posting my own, this was the consummate desktop shot. Excellent composition as well. I really just adore the simplicity and perfection of this photo. I just downloaded this for my desktop, faved it and nominated it for the art council. With my history with Mr. and Mrs. Caedes, don't count on much. They'll probably black ball us both.
Wonderful composition & I find the silo very interesting. I've never seen one constructed entirely of wood before. I agree with Jen in that the green is a bit too bright or over-saturated. Excellent detail though & being a country gal I always enjoy country scenes from other places. Superbly captured, Doug.
Very cool, I love how those round bales look in the fields with the right light. And you did a great capture here. And that ancient silo is the icing on the cake. Thanks for sharing Doug.
