Yes those rocks look pretty smooth and worn down over time. Lake Superior is a lovely shade of blue

Doug...

I used to camp about 75 miles northeast of Duluth on Lake Superior and was amazed at the polished rocks and even glass. This shot brings back many happy memories for me. Lake Superior is a powerful force of nature.

As for your shot, other than the personal historical attributes, it's wonderful. The weathered rock is displayed in excellent lighting. I don't ever having seen the lake looking so calm and peaceful. Looks like a windless, cloudless day and just right for some kayaking. Having seen the lake in a storm, I know that you caught this shot on a glorious day.

On my monitor I'm detecting some very slight banding in that California clear blue sky. This will be a very popular download and desktop.

Very Cool, What a wonderful shot Doug. Over at Palisades St. Park, there are some similar smooth rock formations. So smooth and slick. Nice capture.
