..also entitled Wishful Thinking :-). One I've come across while looking for something else, and thought it was pretty.

Simply beautiful, Doug. I think you might have the best eye(s) on Caedes. I haven't touched my camera since the wreck, but I remember your great ideas about looking through the view finder, kneeling, looking up, down and all around, standing on my hands and then cropping and re-cropping and sometimes mirroring a shot just to see how it looks. You took what I assume is a relatively everyday scene, chopped out the worst and left the best. Great composition, colors and all that technical stuff. My eye was drawn to the moss on the rock.

Did I ever tell you how me and some buddies drove from Iowa to Chicago back in about 1970 to see the Rolling Stones doing their "Let it Bleed" tour? Chuck Berry was the opening act. Mick Jagger must have burned off 10,000 calories running around like a madman although the rest of the band looked loaded to me. We went back stage and met Keith Richards who was drenched with sweat. He took off his concert shirt and I noticed that his back was a mess. On the way back to Iowa me and my buddies were trying to figure out what had caused his dermatological problems when I realized to my surprise that a rolling stone had gathered moss.

A nice closeup of these lovely spring blooms, Doug. Good composition of the scene with lovely colours and textures.

The difference between a bad artist and a good one is: the bad artist seems to copy a great deal; the good one really does. ~William Blake
