This shot had a larger cloud covering the moon, and produced this yellow/orange glow. Maybe it was on drugs, as none of the other shots showed any coloured halo effect.

I don't believe I've ever seen a reddish halo like that around the moon, Doug. The effect made it look more like the sun. ...Ed

The moon looked like this a week ago ... it had an orange - red halo surrounding it. I like the natural framing with the tree branches. Superbly captured, Doug.

First of all, I think we both know that it wasn't the moon that was on drugs. Flomax is supposed to be taken orally, not smoked from your hash pipe.
Interesting colors that make the moon almost look like the sun. In fact, the light is reminiscent of the flood light on a police squad car when they're searching the woods for a peeping Tom. Hell, it's not my fault that the neighbor's 19 year old daughter is a nudist.
