This is my favourit, and the last flower ... for this week. I guess it's the colour I like most. The blackish texture to the rear of the petals isn't Noise/Grain. All of this coloured Lilys had a coating of grey/black on the petals that looked like dust in a foundry or an old steam Railway yard. I removed some of it by smoothing, but any more would affect too much detail. You can get a better look at what appears to be a growth covering if you use your mouse wheel to substantially enlarge it. It's rather interesting, as none of the other coloured Lilys had anything like it.

It is now my favorite too Doug. The deep, rich textures are superb. It is like they have had too much wine and have become quite alluring.

A dramatic composition,Doug, with an almost incandescent center of the main blossom which makes it appear to be the source of light fr this photo. ...Ed

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
