Deep in Southwest Texas, and right on the Rio Grande, is this old movie site. It was left intact and is now part of Big Bend National Park. The Rio Grande river is just 30 feet behind the buildings on the right, and the mountains of stone are on the Mexican side of the border, rising directly from the Southern banks of the Rio Grande.

What a great place to film a western. I really like your treatment of the sky. The positions of the builds vs the Mexican mountains bring stunning depth.

Beautiful colours and textures and that sky looks impressive too. The original movie scene would not have looked so nice. Great work Doug.

It looks like they are shooting a movie on the other side of the mountain, Doug.
What were some of the movies shot here?
I couldn't wait for an answer. Here is what I found.
Well done.

That scene really looks familiar to me except for the sky treatment. I might have seen a movie with this in it. You did a fine job with your image Doug.

A great view of the abandoned buildings and good perspective in the photo. I don't know whether to run away from or towards that blue sky. Nice post work on the image, Doug.
