My friend is 88 yrs young, he's still married to his bride of 67 yrs who is 86, and as we were sitting and talking and laughing one evening, I turned and saw his hands, together, resting on his cane, and I wondered in that instant, what all these hands had done in 88 yrs of living...

Great shot with a story. You can tell he has some arthritis in his fingers, but his hands seem those of a gentle man. The ring on his right hand is old and it tells that his name begins with R. There is probably a little diamond stud in the square above it. My dad had a ring quite like that and coincidentally, his name started with R. Thanks for this thoughtful image.

Beautiful image. I love this in BW. This shot is so simple, but it speaks out in massive volumes. My Dad passed away when he was 85 and he had those same, hard working hands. Thanks for the memories.

The hands are slightly over exposed but that does not detract from the imagery. This picture says so much so simply. A quintessential B&W picture. Deserves a better CI score.

A very thought provoking shot - well suited to b/w.
You have captured these beautiful old hands very sympathetically.
Nice work.
