Stoney Brook Grist Mill and Museum, Brewster, Cape Cod, Massachusetts. The original owner of this property, who built this mill in the 1600's, was Thomas Prence (1st elected Governor of Massachusetts Bay Colony), who married Patience Brewster, who is my direct ancestor... Gov. Prence also helped to found Eastham, a town on the Outer Cape, which is where my parents (born and bred Minnesotans) retired. Both of my parents are now buried in Eastham... So, the circle is complete.

Very pretty and so New England. I loved your narrative, and it's fascinating how the circle was reconnected here. Lovely place :)

You caught all the elements that make this place a treat: from the water and the plants to the top of the roof. Nice.

I really like the wrought-iron gate beside the house that overlooks the water. Oh how I'd love to look off that ledge. This place is spectacular- I'd love to live there, or visit!
