an old cranberry bog in harwichport no longer in use... it was discontinued about five years ago and is now owned by the harwich conservation trust.... it will never be developed further and will be allowed to revert back to nature... wildlife has already returned in abundance... I've seen several hawks, scared up a mallard hiding in one of the old irrigation ditches, and noticed the coyotes had a den here last summer...

This looks so peaceful. I'm not sure if I would like the coyotes there, but I guess if you have game for them to eat, they will come. Like the colors and the water weaving itself in and out. Wild grasses are in abundance. Very good post Mary.

A fascinating site with some lovely colours, Mary, though I think the shot could do with a little tweaking of the Unsharp Mask.

What wonderful colours you've captured here Mary. So many different autumn russets and browns which together with that beautiful blue sky go to make a fabulous shot.

Truly a lovely look and a nice, peaceful thought as well. That things will remain the way they should here is comforting!!
