it was a sunny day in october and I was walking on a 'private' beach on cape cod bay... all the residents were gone for the season and I had the beach to myself... these two cormorants were sunning themselves and apparently giving eachother the cold shoulder... they looked like bookends to me....

Talk about holding a grudge!! I wouldn't talk to you even if you were the last one on earth!! lol. It is another outstanding picture with the extending itself out into the bay, the very blue water and sky, and of course Ralph and Alice sitting this one apart.
