just south of newcomb hollow beach in wellfleet, cape cod, these bones of an old shipwreck were tossed up by the ocean during a winter storm last month.... although several nautical experts have examined the 'remains', they seem to have disagreed on just how old it is... guesses range anywhere from the 1700's to the late 1800's... the timber is hand-hewn and wooden pegs were used instead of nails to bind the ribs together....

What a find that must have been. It looks just like a skeleton. Great photo and narrative. You must have felt like you were on hallowed ground while taking this photo. It sets the imagination off and running. Very good Mary.

Another fascinating shot with some glorious colours and a great sense of distance. I think I might have been tempted to clone out the two signs, but that's a minor matter.

I much appreciate all the comments I receive about my images, but please excuse me if I don't always reply. My interest in Caedes is exceeding my time available!
