seawater is perpetually restless with the rising and falling of the tides and the winds, and it's an awe-inspiring sculptor... this sandbar stood out in a rare relief in the orange of the setting sun, and I couldn't resist taking several shots of it...

I've said this before, I really like this type of picture as it's difficult to get a sense of scale here. We could be looking at sea that's a few inches deep and the ripples are a few inches high or that could be the open sea with great sandbars running into it. Great stuff Mary.

Beautiful Mary. The lighting and composition is great in this post. I have never really been around the ocean so I did not know it did that with the sand. Really cool.

Good post HF. I like your photos of the shifting sands and the patterns they make. The water is quite the sculptor as you say. Excellent photo.
