the house and barn are at the base of fort hill in eastham... it was cool and foggy that day and people who were out walking the trails here in the cape cod national seashore appeared to be sort of dreamy and lost, including me... it must have been the fog... I love walking in it, things seem mysterious, like they're fading out of this dimension... or half-erased... or something... ;-))

Except for the location, it could have been a scene seen by the British as they advanced on Concord. Or, the Union army as it moved towards Gettesburg. A timeless, historical shot so nicely captured with the fog just hanging about to create the mystery of the day. Your greens are so strong, even with fog about. You have a wonderful picture here, Mary.

I think you mood was enhanced by whatever you warmed your cranberry juice with. lol This is just great HF. I would get lost in the surroundings as well. People look like shadows in the fog. Just a wonderful post.

I'll meet you at the edge of the sunlight, just behind the shadows. Anyone who does not like clouds, does not like to dream. The Ghost

Very moody and dramatic. I like the whole scene. One thing adds to the rest.

I really like this a lot Mary. I agree with you about the fog, itīs like beeing in another world. I like the angle with the fence leading into the inmage. Wonderful work!

For me, fog produces the effect of endless possibilities. And your image captured that effect.

I love the use of the fence ... leading you into the enveloping fog. It helps you capture the dazed feeling, like you have to cling to the fence to keep your bearings.

I guess you and I have the same type of weather a lot, but at other ends of the USA...fences and fog, they go together somehow. When I lived in England, I learned to love fog as a child, and I've never left that feeling I guess. There is a comfort zone of some kind, maybe it's because we know we are truly wrapped in the clouds right then. Thank you for a very beautiful photo Mary..Verena
