as the seagulls love to eat the little critters that make and live in shells like this, it's rare to find one as big as this that hasn't been broken...

Why do the pictures come out square when the lens is round??

I also like the detail of the textures. You can almost see each individual grain of sand. I like the colors to.

Like Randy, I liked how the light worked off of the shell and on to the sand. Very interesting capture and thought provoking!

I think it's under shell number...well, Sis, I am here to tell ya. You ain't gonna make much money if you only got one shell....

I love this and the narrative was quite interesting, too.

It looks like it is looking at me HF. That is a cool eye it appears to have. Great capture and so clear and detailed. Your titles today were super. Have a good day and I think it is under number one.

for me, the haze on the left of the shell rather spoils the detail and crispness of the picture. The rest is a wonderful capture with great light.

Bea Hopkins, the famous pastel artist, did a series of sea shells which replicate what you have captured here. With the sun at just the right angel, you've caught the golden reflection on one side of the shell, the lavender blue shadows on the other. Wonderful work!

A simple and beautiful composition. The lighting makes this image standout and adds to its appeal. A wonderful still life from nature.

surreal... I especially love the soft orange glow thrown onto the sand reflecting off of the shell: amazing. You've an eye for beautiful things.
