WOW Charlie, this is great. What a great pose he has and his neck just doesn't stop. Wonderful color, clarity and composition. What a keeper this is :) Very well done.

I'd like to know how you got this shot. It seems you are above him. These birds can be flighty. The clarity in this photo is very good, however I think you are just zoomed too far in on him. I think if you backed off a bit and showed us some more of the water, preferably where he is looking. Perhaps you cropped out a frog that is about to become dinner?

Charlie, this is a great shot at the right moment - and the title is perfect :) Very good details of this handsome fellow - wet grey feathers and that super long neck. Lovely blue coloring on his head and beak. He sure has spotted something interesting. The naturel background and all that gorgeous greenery adds more beauty to this scene. Nice nature image :*>
