The speckled markings make me think this is an immature heron. He hadn't learned stealth mode yet as he had a lot to say as he searched for a snack.

:::LOL::::@Digi ...sparrow indeed. Kinda like Bryancito's all flowers are caranations bit. I'm not sure of the bird myself, but your guess is as good as mine and I just have to say that the colors here are terrific and the intent of the bird looking so frantically for food is just so well expressed...into my bird folder on my hard drive.

Wow! It can't be easy carrying that much beak around. He appears to be a good size for a baby. Nicely captured and I assume you used a zoom or telephoto lens because I can't imagine that he let you get this close. Nice shot for spring and it looks quite lush there.

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes

How adorable and cute he looks! Must have been so fun to watch him! He is wonderfully surrounded by that lush grass. Terrific clarity and capture. :)

Well Charlie, whatever he is, he's impressive. Fine details of this cutie - lovely soft feathers and fine speckled neck. Good clarity too. He's quite handsome against all the rich greenery. Well framed with the brown which matches this guys feathers. Super work here :)

I need to catch up on things so can't comment too much. But I love all of your fine images :)
