The name of this bird comes from the shape of the mouth looking like a frog's mouth. The docent told me it prefers insects over small rodents, so it is not as 'owl' like as it might appear. Busch Gardens, Tampa Bay.

Hi!

This is the best look on an owl I've ever seen. It's different from the normal angry look. Looks like it's feeling sorry for something or someone, I like it. Great job, i think if I tried to take a pic of a bird like that, it would attack.

Great job!

Hugs,
Cal

He's certainly not camera shy. That or you have a super telephoto!! I like calmagical's take on his expression and tend to agree! :)

Fantastic close up, Charlie! He looks like the model for a Sesame Street character. lol Amazing clarity in this shot of him.

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes

If you can't find the words, you may as well shoot it...
