Great stuff. These buggers are not too easy to catch on a photo either... ^_^ What I like the best is the great colors on the dragonfly and the clarity of details is perfect on the front part of the insect. I can almost make out a camera in the reflection of that big eye...

There are three colours, Ten digits and seven notes, its what we do with them that’s important. Ruth Ross

Excellent capture, Paul! Is it that you use a very powerful lens or you put your camera almost on top of the dragonfly? Top marks!

Hallo Paul, After having shot a damselfly myself recently I can appreciate the effort that goes into capturing one on film or SD card. This is a stunning shot and great composition...just perfect.

This shot is definitely worth the Smithsonian and the National Geographic contests... And I like the fuzzyness... My bio professor could have taught us anatomy from this picture... Cool.

Another great capture of an elusive creature. The blue colors are dashing. Great perspective also. We can well see every detail the length of the insect's body. Beautiful work.
