This is a very moody piece that is meant to be dark. The image accurately casts her essence commonly found on school grounds. I created a cutout of her to keep her natural, but the backdrop was desaturated and softened. Think about it for a few seconds before you voice your opinion.

I wish I could see her a face a little more. Then she'd really be the one clear thing among a sea of shapes. I'm not sure what emotion she's showing here... her stance gives off a sense of insecurity but the fact that she's looking right at the camera makes her seem more independed and strong. So you could try one of two things: get her to keep the stance and look away, or keep her looking at the camera but standing up straighter and more confident. That way you'd focus on one emotion. However.... this picture is obviously very thought provoking (or maybe it's just me overanalyzing things?) so maybe it's a good idea to keep it from being too obvious. Well either way, you could try the two other photos and see what happens. It's a good picture none-the-less :)

I agree that this photo is thought provoking. It's really good. I think it would help to see her a bit better too. But I like all the different emotions she's conveying. It gives it more life to it. Great job. This goes into my favorites.

I feel like I am fading. I've lost the Holy Ground. Maybe there's a chance, that the lost will be found. If you saw a possum on the side of the road, would you too?

I am not sure she was aware she was being photographed at the time. I was standing in one of the hallways at school snapping quickly in low light. Most of the pictures in that specific spot were streaked with blur due to a long shutter, but this one turned out alright. I believe she was distracted and only glanced up because she saw something out of the corner of her eye that wasn't moving forward with the masses. The lighting is my favorite part, and it was not staged ahead of time. Thanks for the comments. :-)

I think it is seductive but in a very subtle way...
as if maybe when somebody has a crush on someone and all others in the crowd are blurry and hard to see and the subject is approaching in slow motion....

It seems very dark to me, the expression on her face. A very cool concept too. It is a bit on the darky side though.

This is a very good idea -- perhaps again with correct light or ISO or shutter speed. I know it's tough, but the concept is excellent.
