This is a lovely photo. How I love the desert! May I offer a suggestion? Many photos turn out to have a color cast to them - like someone put a layer of color over the whole picture. This has a blue cast to it. To illustrate, I've taken your photo into Photoshop and worked on the left half, while leaving the right half alone. I first did an AutoLevels command. Then I used the Shadow/Highlights command (10% shadow lightening, 10% highlight darkening). To see the difference it made to your photo, I've posted it temporarily on my website. He can give you the name and where you can download it. His photo had the same problem as yours, and he was able to do a great job removing the blue cast.
