I believe that's a common Argiope aurantia or a similar one within that Family. It's apparently harmless to people too.

The Brazilian Wandering Spider, also called a banana spider, however, is very dangerous. That's what I thought you were posting & I was prepared to give sky high creds for that one.

Nice shot of this big garden spider though.

Edit: I stand corrected, I should have done more research.

I'll just go back to my corner over here....

Argiope aurantia has a black and yellow body.

This is the ‘Nephila Clavipes’

These spiders are often referred to as ‘Banana Spiders’ because of their yellow colored bodies. Their legs are long and hairy.

These Banana Spiders can often be confused with the Brazilian Wandering Spider. Their body is also yellow in color with a blackish fuzzy head, but their size is bigger than the common Banana Spider and their venom is poisonous.
