It is a very interesting piece of architecture, but, I find the picture little too busy.Maybe you could single out some elements, like the fountain, or part of staircase, or use different vantage point to make it look less busy. Still, interesting shot.
Hi Sarah, this is lovely, a beautiful staircase indeed! I think that this scene would be fifficult to photograph, there just seems to be so much to cover, I know! But, I do think that the above viewer had a good idea, about targeting specific areas of interest! This may have made you happier with the image, otherwise very well done. I am impressed! I also looked at your other image, and it is absolutely stunning, what a job you did, being the scenes are so different, maybe techniques used might vary some, what do you think! Keep up the good work Sarah! Sincerely, Marilyn
I think it could work to keep the whole staircase, but I'd either cut ut the lion in front or get all of it in the foreground. Move the wheelbarrow, chase away those people at the top. If you want to keep the lion i think a wide lense would be a good idea.
Keep trying, and you'll make this a great shot instead of an interesting one :)
When it comes to a Desktop images, it is best to have it busy and full of variants. This is how I don't get bored of an image. Always spotting something new in the scene.
On this I have to say I totally disagree. I dont mind looking at a picture with lots of details, but as a wallpaper its a BACKGROUND. For me it should be full of depth, rather simplistic colour schemes and a pleasing balance to everything.
Again, this is just my opinion, and although this is a "desktop wallpaper" site, it work pretty much like other photo entusiast sites i've seen, so I usually comment just from a image point of view, and then if it has (in my opinion) good wallpaper attributes, I mention it.
