This traditional Kiwi 'bach' [pronounced batch] or holiday home is fast disappearing in favour of state-of-the art contemporary buildings. Originally 'bachelor pads' they were built of any materials the owner could find and were almost always close to the ocean. This one could tell many happy family stories of fun in the sun and surf if only it could talk.

I like this image and the story behind it. Well proportioned picture and good lighting.

I found the story interesting. More than the picture. :( The house just doesn't interest me. But it does look well done, however. :)
