The mist was lying in the valley early one morning so I hopped out of bed and grabbed the camera. Early autumn in Northland sees these lovely misty mornings as the warmth of the rising sun draws the moisture from the earth.

I just wanted to pop in, say that I just saw this photo in the VB, wanted to introduce myself and let you know that I think this is a gorgeous shot. In my humble opinion for what it's worth, I think this beautiful posting would have been improved with more foreground and less sky. My Caedes friends are always reminding me that the amount of sky should be limited unless it adds a great deal of drama to the shot. Since the sky is relatively bland in comparison to the awe inspiring earth tones, I'd get rid of 2/3 of the sky and opt for more land in the foreground.

Saw this in VB, gave it 10/10. Very good piece of work. I love the panoramic view of this area, the clear sky, the beautiful mist covered greens.

I think the phrase "hopped out of bed," is perfect for this Easter Sunday, Sue. The photo is perfect for any day. God's glory shines in this wonderful shot.

My comment and vote ranges in between the first one [by Dorothy] and the last [by Tick/Ron] = I agree with Dorothy about the composition and the idea of "hopped out of bed" - therefore the range of the best 8/10 - 10/10 [in fact I like most posts here and often go to this range !!]
