This stunning sculpture sits at the end of a harbour walk in Whangarei, New Zealand [pronounced fungeray]. The site reflects the traditional Maori name for Whangarei Te Renga Paraoa (a gathering place of whales), with the peninsula resembling a whale's head

You did the sculpture justice with this great shot Sue. The waka has made landfall.It's a powerful piece of work.

Whangarei has an h lol. Better take care W(h)anganui does not pinch it :)
