In many parts of NYC it can seem that it is impossible to go 2 blocks in any direction without seeing a vegetable stand, or being near to what, due to the Hispanic influence in the city, we (often) call a Bodega (if its a Korean market, I call them Kmarts :) - Details and implications seem to exist at all levels.

In Poland you can hardly see any vegetable stands downtown...
Nor in any other parts for that matter... I started to wonder where do we buy our veggies - in supermarkets ! LOL

The onions look delicious. I usually get the ones that are already pealed, but those will do just fine for my omelet. Nice lighting and detail in this shot. I like the Kmarts comment...that's funny.

I lived in New York City when i was younger. The vegetable stands i didn't know were still There. Good memories flooded into my mind after i had seen your picture. Thank you.-----Victor

The onions look great in their synthetic mesh bag, Alan. NY is a food capital with so many ethnic kitchens. It's understandable why vegetable stands are everywhere you look.
