Apop, Photofiltre. Elephus Maximus (Asian Elephant), Well, that's what it looks like to me..what is it that you see? Thanks for viewing and all comments are most welcome :)
What I find so compelling about this fractal is that every element is doing work, including the black which can be seen as more than mere background. In fact, I can see this with the central black parts foregrounded or backgrounded and see different things depending on which way I look at it. It reminds me of Wittgenstein's drawing of the duck-rabbit which can be seen as either a duck or a rabbit. Similar drawings involve a vase/two faces, a cube which can be seen in two ways, an old womon/young womon etc.
So this is philosophically interesting as well as beautiful - seen in one way, I see the elephant but seen in the other way, I see a school of fish or maybe dolphins diving into and out of the water. There's a large one in the centre going into the water and smaller ones leaping around it.
I think elephant was the perfect appellation for this lovely and bright fractal. The ears could be contrued as wings, I suppose too. Nice symmetry with the main feature being heralded at the top of the image.
You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being.

I think it's an elephant with wings, the smaller head in the center and the wings to the outside. You've created an Angelphant Lori........good job. LOL
Always remember - Follow the Yellow Brick Road, it will lead you to the Emerald City and OZ A very nice place to repose. Trust me on this one, I live there ............The Lion...................... MY GALLERY - The Magical Mystery Tour
LOL@Mr. Cowardly...well, I guess when you create a wholly new creature it's nice to be acknowledged...I see the elephant and the Angelphant as well. This is a compelling and obviously controversial work, Lori, and what artist can ask for anything more? Money? Ha...:)
Yeah, it's an elephant. And they way you spelled the title reminded me of our recent trip to Vegas where we visited at Ceasar's Palace. At their pool their refreshment stand is called Snackus Maximus.
I See Beer!!!! At Least that is what I may see if I had a few. Just kidding. This is a beautiful fractal and it is left the the imagination of all who view it to see what they want to see. Personnaly I see and elefphant with wings, two birds and 4 crabs. But that is just me. Well done!!!!!!
What a great Abstract Art picture. I really enjoy looking at other artist that post Abstract pieces, it’s one of my favorite postings to download for my desktop. Thanks for sharing!
