Your title maid me think of two possible maidens of the night - Cinderella and Christine Daaé of Phantom of the Night. In either case, your magical fractal could apply.

This is what I imagine ultra-fantastic auroras would look like around an equally fantastic planet, with the magnetic solar rays flowing amidst the stars. That large semi-circular shape at the bottom would have to be the planet. Actually, Saturnian auroras are blue, very much like this. A keeper, Lori, thanks.
