You've included all my favorite shaedes of blue. This piece stands out next too others because even though over all it's really dark, there are some really good brights and highlights to give the work that extra "pop". NIce.

It reminds me of the deep: the deep ocean, where a shell-less starfish mother is giving birth to a myriad of young, and deep space, where a "mother" galaxy is doing the same. The deep tones of blue add nicely to the effect.

While ... maintaining the look of a very clean render, with good good detail and clarity.
Apophysis 7X? Just downloaded it. This and the other current release from JK? ... really liking the increased speeds in generating previews et al ... and the added other functionalities/features.
That said ... got some time spent and well wasted, to go ... before I rival your flames, Lori.
Again ... very nice work, delicate details (therein lies the paradox, what with your choice of gradients and/or post processing on top), good composition ... and another thoughtful and sweet consideration to one of our beloved members. :o)
