What a majestic animal. I'm fortunate to see many red tail hawks in the wild where I live, and they never cease to amaze me. This is a beautiful shot. I love the size of the bird as the central focus. He is large enough so you can appreciate the finer details of his markings and shape. Well positioned in the layout as well. Thank you for a lovely new image!

Wonderful lighting you've achieved on this shot, Ted! What a handsome fellow he is, especially with that pretty yellow underbelly, but it's sad that he cannot take to the heights and soar on the eddies as a hawk should do. Gorgeous piccie!!

How the heck did you manage to get this close without getting your head bitten off? It was worth the risk though. Gorgeous shoe of a majestic bird. The lighting and color are beautiful.

We live in a wildlife sanctuary and there are many many hawks all about here also. So I know how grand it is to have them around. You were fortunate to get such a great shot of this bird.without a fence around to ruin the picture. Its just lovely..V
