From the Air & Space Museum, Washington,DC. The Spirit of St Louis (solo crossing of the Atlantic), Bell X-1 (first supersonic airplane), Spaceship One (first civilian spaceship to go to space altitude).
I've been following this tour you've been giving and selfishly enjoying them without commenting, as I'm not real familiar with your subject matter, but I felt I wanted to weigh in on this one as I think that your composition, or the angle at which you composed this was excellent with the differences in the aircraft themselves as to history and times. The colors come into play as an intregal part as the airships bring with them the hues of their particular periods, and the far wall exudes a pastel that in some incongruous way ties them all together. It's too bad that the view looking out the window is a little overexposed, but it doesn't detract all that much and the window itself creates so many interesting shapes and angles.. and even though I'm not on real sure footing as to all the records they've set, and I wouldn't dare to comment on that aspect before I looked them all up, except maybe the Spirit of St. Louis...it's still a very nice post as to historical flavor and aesthetics :)PJ
PJ is so good at these remarks. i think i'll just say that the composition is very good. you've treated all aspects technically well. anyway it's a great shot considering you're inside a building. jen
