I can't sneak up on a hawk. The hawk was looking for birds in my feeder and I hoped to get closer but failed.

Remarkable clarity.

Nice shot and well done on the technical considerations.

Thanks for sharing this one with us. :o)

A lot closer than I got the other day. I tried to ease up on one on a power line and he was gone before I could even lock in a focus. The framing with the snow branches woks pretty good here. Good shot.

Remarkable capture of this hawk Ted. They sure are hard to catch up close. He's really beautiful and wonderful markings. Looks like the Broad-Winged Hawk. Juveniles have dark blotches on side of white chest

Really nice job. It is very hard to sneak up on one of these beautiful birds. I actually like the out of focus foreground.

Good job of capturing the hawk Ted. I consider my bird feeder the hawks 'buffet'...they lurk around to wait and see what shows up. You have pretty decent clarity and detail here. The composition is really cool with the snowy branches acting as a natural frame. To my favorites this feathered friend of yours goes.
I love hawks :=)
