These seals are resting without any worry. I wonder if they know there are orcas within a mile from them.

Ted, as long as they're basking on the rocks, they're in no danger. But seals also have to eat to stay alive and for that reason they catch fish, which makes them vulnerable to orcas.
However, I don't think they realize enough that in nature it's a matter of eating or being eaten. Instinctively, however, they're wary.
