Near Las Vegas, you can drive about 15 miles to the park. It is a 13-mile one-way drive through the park. Beautiful scenery and plants. You might even see a roaming burro. We picked up a bicyclist with a flat and took him back to the museum. He was at the 7-mile marker and had a long way to walk with a flat tire.
PS: to me it's somewhat remarkable that a cyclist, especially on the longer routes, doesn't have any repair equipment with him to repair flat tires himself.
I myself had a racing bike for a very long time, but I never left without a spare inner tube, a folding tire and a mini bicycle pump, etc. It has been helpful to me many times.
