I like the DOF you employed. Quite narrow, however, it does bring your viewer's eyes to your focal subject.
The only caveat I have ... my humble opinion, of course ... is that of the background being a tad too busy. Perhaps, some more experimentation with the DOF might work.
And on that note, perhaps and as a suggestion ... mention your camera make and model in your accompanying narratives to provide a leaping off point for some tips and advice, et al.
Your image here definitely shows some aforethought before depressing the shutter button. And ... you brought me in for a closer look, so ... mission accomplished.
"There is always something waiting at the end of the road ... if you're not willing to see what it is ... you probably shouldn't be out there in the first place."
A wonderful capture, love the workings of the brown in the image. I would say that I agree with Les, the background is a little busy. But otherwise, a very, very lovely capture; beautifully captured and it does bring your viewers' eyes straight to the point. Thank you for sharing your work.
You have proved with creativity and good composure, one does not need 1000s of dollars of equıpment. Great image crisp, clear and well thought out. Top marks, well done.
Now then, your image here ...
