I was walking along the beach and I stumbled upon this tangle of roots and other driftwood pieces.

A good composition, and the quality is real fine!
What you could do to improve on this is to use another perspective, the scene is a bit flat now. I like the driftwood, it's beautiful!

If you can't find the words, you may as well shoot it...

I agree with the above. A lower angle possibly.

hmm it almost looks grotesque from afar.

It's beautiful in that only if you'd ever seen such a jumble would you recognize what you are looking at. Abstract art.. from the sea.. Thank you for sharing. Do you have a bigger format to post? I can't get close enough to the detail at 1024 X 768, even though it's crisp. cheers, Quiet

I like how the dark sand is all blended with the light sand. The picture kind of reminds me of the cartoon "Ren & Stimpy". Remember the Log ads? ha ha.

There is just nothing like finding gorgeous driftwood pieces like this on the beach. To know it has been tossed around in the ocean and then thrown onto the land and baked by the hot sun...I just love it. I think if yoiu would get more sand on a photo like this it would enhance the wood more...and if you get close up, then make it macro close to one piece. I have a feeling we will see much more of your photography..Hurry ok? hehe

i have to say this had the _whoa_effect on me
brilliant find!

great colours textures and shifts in texture between the wood and the sands
its almost alien and synthetic .. then it looks totally natural
it keeps shifting as i look at it

nice shot indeed
