The Squirrels like the early running maple sap as a treat. (it is a little sweet!) You can see the nicks in the bark and the leaking sap. This chap looks positively guilty, don't he? And he certainly needs a trip to the dentist. (ISO 200, 1/400, f8.0, 400mm) Looking at the thumbnail after posting .. I am thinking that branch in the background should go, but full screen you hardly notice.

Funny...I never thought of squirrels as liking the sap from the trees, but then again I do, or at least the finished product, so why not? Yes, he does look very guilty over this whole affair, but I bet he's not one bit remorseful :)

I too didn't know that squirrels like maple sap...He has such a cute posture and expression. A fantastic capture. :)

Is that Don King? Neat expression. The branch in the rear doesn't appear to be distracting to me. But I would agree, it is more noticeable in the thumbnail.
