I heard this little guy before seeing him and thought it was a mouse. Then I saw it for what it was. Great camouflage! (This is a colour picture!!) (f6.3, 1/1000, 400mm ISO 200)

they don,t take to many pictures of this type bird on here i guess there just not colorful enough - they make beautiful sound - you,ve done it justice - very nice - there is a pair nesting in a bush beside my carport i here them every morning

Great capture. I like the dead leaves and even that the bird is the same colour it stands out well enough.

The clarity on the bird is the thing that keeps it from disappearing into the background...super job and I too love the song of this one.

And I am most certainly including your offerings in that statement.
Now then, your wonderful image here ...
Quite an astounding display of camouflage by this species of bird. Having the benefit of your narrative cleared up the initial impression of perhaps, some desaturation.
Compositionally, as always with your work ... this is exceptional in my mind. Well balanced and perfectly framed.
Annnnd ... technical considerations aside ... a very appealing capture.
