I wish I knew more about body language! I know the upward gaze (if there is nothing to look at) indicates a desire to avoid visual distraction. That combined by a slight tightness around the mouth tells me he is planning something or has just been presented with an entirely new idea. Photographically, this is a compelling picture...good angle, great lighting, interesting subject.
