His body is a little overexposed but thought I would share this one with you. He had landed on that lotus bud. Calendar Gardens is the location, and sigma 70-300 APO DG macro zoom lens was used along with a tripod. sandi♥

Great Tigz you got a twofer. It looks like a kid trying to open a present at Christmas. I like the wrapping paper. Just a really great capture.

Wow Sandi! This is SOOO good that I am nearly speechless. We love the dragonflies and sitting on that lotus flower is the perfect colorful place to capture this shot. Faved this one too!! I wonder if I can somehow set up a folder here for my Sandi Faves? :o)

Good lighting, good clarity, good color Sandi. The angle of the dragonfly gives us a view of his "opposite end", but we do not control Mother Nature.
Good timing and capture. Thanks for sharing this with us :=)

Beautifully done, Sandi. I disagree about the body being overexposed though. I think it's alittle blurred, perhaps from motion blur? but not overexposed. I love the crisp sharp focus and the fubar blur on the background to bring your eye right to the subject. Only improvement would be to have the dragonfly facing you. (you'd have to ask really nicely :) )

Beautiful Sandi, you really got the best out of that lens here. How the heck did you manage to get a tripod set up in time? This is pin sharp in all the right places with beautifully blurred background, very well done!
