From earlier this year when I found these almost grown young ducks that hung out at this lake and public accesss. They finally flew the coop so to speak but were remarkably laid back.

I could sit on the ground within a a foot or two of them and just enjoy watching them.

I was standing on the pier when I took this one.

TGIF and thanks in advance for your comments.

Sandi, think the left hand one is training for the next Olympic Games, lol.
Very fine capture!

Edit: I was not copying EJ's comment. When I had finished my comment on this one, saw that EJ had a rather similar comment.'

"Duck Lake" was a lesser known ballet by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky. It was written on a napkin in the Cafe Cossachok after Tchaikovsky was told that he could never top "Swan Lake." As it turned out, he could not and "Duck Lake" became Duck Soup.

Sorry, I made all of that up! LOL. Loved this photo, and that is for real.

I think it is so funny when ducks do that in the water. Excellent capture, Sandi. Super focus and comp.

Too many ballet fans on here. To me it looks like a good redneck mooning. I love the capture and the angle you had Tigz. The water is a shot all by itself.

A wonderful capture, Sandi. It feels like I am looking at those ducks live right through the black frame. That's how clear the shot is.

I often think that a photographer can't go wrong with shots of swans. I also think that the same applies to ducks. They are naturally photogenic and funny at the same time. This trio proves my point. Two look lovely and the other makes you smile.
