Took this one today down at the Tippy River, where the ducks hang out and this is the same place that my Big Log image was taken , just few days later and a bit warmer out. Used the natural light of the day and the canon ef70-300mm IS USM lens.

That is breathtaking...I love the reflections onto that clear ice. The contrasting brown of the tree. really adds to this wonderful image. Another winner in my book.

Very nice comp, with that log in the foreground leading into the line of the river, then the rhythm of all the tree trunks behind. Very well executed too, I especially like the smoothness of the water and the contrasting textures.

There is something about this image that really captures my mind. It's a simple scene but I could stare at it forever. maybe it's the super accurate capture of the ice and it's subtleties of color. Or maybe it's the deep dark woods. Keep-pah!
