One from my other neighbors yard. I will share another image of this beauty in bloom.
These are really huge flowers and some may know what kind of flower this is, but I'll wait till I post the next one to name it.
Hand held the canon ef 70-300 IS USM lens once again.
I should have had the flower a little lower in the frame, but still I think it is worth sharing.

That is so colorful. Still wish I could get my reds to look like this without being all blown out. This is just beautiful. I hope it doesn't grow up yelling..."Feed Me Seymour"!!!

To me it's a hibiscus bud. If so, its foofy stage has only an endurance of just one day. Please don't tell it to her Sandi, as knowing this there's a chance it don't like to grow up, Very fine post.

Another fine shot Sandi. Looks a bit like a Hollyhock bloom bud but cannot be sure. That means I need a bloom shot with more of the plant in it. Please..... :o)

I just got this in the VB and I can tell you that I loved it! I had to stop by and see who captured this usually beauty. It all most looks like a drill, I like that it is all alone and so close up and so clear. Great Job with this one. + FAVE.
