Another shot the same morning as this one but using the Nikon D3000. I was out there in the cold in my jammies with both cameras to compare. :) I'm glad there was no cam taking pics. of me. Lol!

My other half has started to use the Nikon and seems to be getting the shutter bug!

For those that are interested in what I think of the Nikon, I do like it, still getting used to it of course. The images do have more noise in them, but I use noise removal in my editing. This is something I don't have to do with the Canon 450D, very few times anyway. I think the sensor size might be why the difference in noise levels. Even though I'm not sure what they are at this typing. I do know that it does make a difference.

I tried to lighten it a tad, ( which I think I did in the one in the link) but preferred the way it was out of the camera. Lightening it took from the contrast and colors, and mood of the sunrise. That is my opinion. :)

Thanks for your comments. Have a great Sunday.

I think I like this one better because the darker colour seems to give it more character - or moodiness I should say. Let the sun do the lightening later :0) Lovely image Sandi.

I also like the darker color on this one. I think you also framed the picture better, avoiding the structures on the left which were a little distracting in the previous image. I love how it looks like the sun has set the ground on fire just behind the trees. One of my favorites!

For cam picks of Sandi in her jammies, Click Here. He he. Didn't, work did it? LOL. Another gorgeous shot, Sandi. I have problems with noise with my Canon EOS 40D whenever I use an ISO above 100, and sometimes even then. I don't study the technicalities enough to understand it, I just live with it and try to work with it. Shoot and pray..that's my philosophy. LOL.

I too, love the dark tones here, Sandi! And, the silhouettes are striking against the sunset tones! Still loving that solitary tree as well :) A gorgeous end of the day capture my friend! I'm also glad you're enjoying your camera, and sharing the results with us all :)
