I'm not sure what kind of flower these are, but spotted them at the Homestead Gardens, which is adjacent to the Calendar Gardens.

I want to let you know that I'll be gone from Friday till Sunday - one of those girl road trips. We are going to see Marty Stuart for two shows on Friday at Bearcreek Farms in Bryant, Indiana, and then on to Middletown, Ohio to see him in a show. Lol! Hey I think we like him! I'll have the laptop, so I might be able to do some commenting.

Thank you in advance for your comments, and we actually hope we don't have front row seats to all of these shows! Lol! It would be embarrassing if he noticed us! :) Ok I'll quit rambling and see you when I get back. Bye for now!

On the Road Again Tigz. I should have known you were a Marty Stuart Roadie. I hear Connie has a temper. :)

I would have never guessed this was a fully opened Tulip. Wonderful tones.

I have to agree with Kathy & Verena. They do look like tulips that are really open as far as they can go.

I would agree that they are tulips. The look of deep red satin against the green background, makes me think of Christmas :) Gorgeous capture, Sandi! Hope you are enjoying your road trip! =D Faved.
